We are looking for highly organized candidate with good quantitative ability for the position of Fleet Supervisor.
Job Purpose:
Providing means of transportation with good potential, including speed and ease in improving the movement of the institution. Providing a special budget for all maintenance work, workshop and what is spent on fuel, in coordination with the relevant authorities within the institution.
Responsibilities &Duties:
• Determines which vehicles will be purchased and how they will be equipped and oversee the sale and / or auction of used cars when they are due.
• Regularly reporting fleet expenses and performance to company management.
• Ensure that the company complies with government regulations related to transportation
• Take preventive measures to ensure the safety of vehicles and drivers as well.
• Ensure vehicles are always ready and available to fulfill demands by scheduling and monitoring current trends in the industry,
• Ensure that all vehicles are properly registered. Conducting the inspection periodically
• Monitor fuel purchases by managing fuel cards for all vehicles for their drivers. To organize costs.
- Perform related duties as required
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of vehicle and equipment maintenance
Principles and practices of fleet management.
Equipment, tools and materials used in vehicle and equipment maintenance activities and services.
Principles of supervision and training.
Education/Training:
BSc in business, management, engineering, or a
related field.
Experience:
More than Seven years of increasingly responsible vehicle maintenance experience including some lead
supervisory experience.
Skills & Abilities:
- · Highly developed communication, presentation and reporting skills (verbal and written).
- · Advanced understanding of general fleet procedures and techniques.
- · Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- · Must have strong interpersonal abilities and can deal with different types of people.
- · Drive for Results that move tasks and assignments towards successful closure.
- · Analytical Thinker, by analyzing, and identifying root causes to draw the appropriate conclusions and results
- · Effective problem-solving abilities.
- · Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- · Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- · Must have a Time management skills and can work under pressure in any circumstances.
