Task Description:
• Help-desk operators.
• Identifying hardware and software solutions.
• Troubleshooting technical issues.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults.
• Installing and configuring hardware and software.
• Speaking to co-workers to quickly get to the root of their problem.
• Talking co-workers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
• Providing timely and accurate co-workers feedback.
• Following up with co-workers to ensure the problem is resolved.
• Replacing or repairing the necessary parts.
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
• Providing support in the form of procedural documentation.
• Managing multiple cases at one time.
• Testing and evaluating new technologies.
Qualifications Required:
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Certification in Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco is advantageous.
• Prior experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role.
• Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
• Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
• Accept constructive criticism and co-workers feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services.
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.
• The capacity to work well within a team.
• The ability to priorities your workload.
• The capacity to clearly explain a technical problem to a both technical and non-technical person.
• Outstanding listening and questioning skills.
